Savory notes of fennel and sage are backed by deep aromas of mountain blackberry, black raspberry, and cassis. Woven into this complex profile are notes of wet limestone and gravel. The palate follows suit, with black raspberry and black currant balancing sage and anise flavors. The dark fruit finish is complemented by balanced tannins, a mineral streak, and a touch of cedar.

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon from four sites, with Merlot from two sites Carmenere from one of Washington's warmest vineyards. Leafy dark fruit aromas introduce a grippy palate balanced by good acidity, with black and blue fruits and some spice from 20 months spent in oak.
