INDOMITA DUETTE PINOT NOIR 2013
Displays a silky texture, good structure and hints of violets and vanilla. The gravity flow winery process ensures minimal handling of the fruit. There is a cold maceration for 2 days prior to fermentation. Fermentation is in open top stainless steel tanks using selected yeasts. The total time in skin contact is 10-12 days (including 2 days of cold soak and 7-8 days of fermentation) Half of the blend undergoes malolactic in barrel and the other half in tank. Maturation of 70% of the blend in French oak barrels for 10 months.
Slightly cooked strawberries and wild cherries with dried chalk on the nose. Dried tannins and a delicate palate. Drink now. Score – 92. (James Suckling, jamessuckling.com, Aug. 13, 2014)
