DOMAINE BARON DE L’ECLUSE AOP COTE DE BROUILLY 2017

THE WINE:
Côte de Brouilly wines are produced by four villages: Odenas, Saint-Lager, Cercié and Quincié. The vines are planted on the slopes of Mount Brouilly (an extinct volcano), and Brouilly is the only Beaujolais cru in which vines face each point of the compass. This wine features pronounced floral notes atop suggestions of ripe berry and cassis, as well as a refined minerality from the decomposed volcanic diorite-rich soils.

TASTING NOTES:
This ripe, soft wine is rich with red-cherry fruit and a generous texture from old vines. Spice, fruitness and a hint of tannins contribute to a wine that is delicious and rounded, ready to drink now. Score – 90
