THE WINE:
Lot of many grape varieties from assorted vineyard plots of different ages, heights and exposures. Aromas of forest and pine needles … a true blend of Dão! Different vineyard plots with granite soil and a manual harvest in late September and early October. Vinification consists of co-fermentation with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tank, followed by a long maceration. 20% aged for 8 months in used French oak barrels.

TASTING NOTES:
Aromas of dark fruit, plum, baking spice, vanilla and smoke with a rustic meaty undertone. Juicy black fruit leads the way with great replays. The smoke and vanilla notes making a particularly enjoyable return in the mouth. Pleasant and well-made. A great barbecue wine – try this with grilled pork ribs, or burgers.
