Buyer, Administrator role

Ontario based importer of Wines and Spirits requires a wine knowledgeable and passionate individual to actively manage and build on an already strong portfolio of Premium Wines and Spirits destined for sale to the LCBO’s Vintages division.

The candidate should possess working knowledge of the wine industry and the LCBO store system.

Your role would include:

 Assist in Portfolio management and maintenance of an existing book of Wine & Spirits producers from around the world;

 Identify and contact new producers to address needs of Vintages Buyers;

Submit NISS online applications + submissions

 Build on existing relationships and ensure timely and efficient sell through of bi-monthly Vintages releases

 Execute programs and events including LCBO MPTS on shelf merchandising promotions, conducting staff training and tastings, etc.

Preference will be given to candidates with:

 Industry experience i.e. sommelier, accredited completed wine courses, etc.

 Strong organization and planning skills a must;

 Strong computer skills with an ability to analyze statistics for targeted sales and assure monthly sell through objectives are met;

 Strong interpersonal skills; a team player yet is able to work independently;

 Strong written and oral communication skills with attention to detail;

 Other languages such as Spanish, Italian or French would also be an asset;
